Trans World Entertainment was formed in 1983 by Moshe Diamant and Eduard Sarlui, the latter founded Continental Motion Pictures with her sister Helen. In 1984, the company signed agreements with Viacom Enterprises and Ziv International to bring 200 titles to videocassette, and latter on, expanded to motion picture production.
