She has published over 25 novels, including Because of Winn-Dixie, The Tiger Rising, The Tale of Despereaux, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, The Magician's Elephant, the Mercy Watson series, and Flora & Ulysses.
Kate DiCamillo is an American author whose award-winning children’s books commonly explore death and separation but whose prose is often exuberant. She won a Newbery Medal for The Tale of Despereaux (2003) and for Flora & Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures (2013).
