Desert Flower is a 2009 German biographical film directed by Sherry Hormann. It stars Liya Kebede, Sally Hawkins and Craig Parkinson, and is based on the Somali-born model Waris Dirie's autobiography.
Peter Herrmann began working as a documentary director and producer after studying ethnology. GIN FOR DIE GÖTTER, a 90-minute cinema documentary about voodoo cults in West Africa, was his first success and was premiered at the at the Munich Film Festival.
