He started learning music when he was 8 years old and took the initial teachings from his grandfather Sardar Malik. He started his music career after his matriculation by assisting music director Amar Mohile for the film Sarkar (2005).

Amaal Mallik is an Indian music director, composer, singer, music producer, arranger, background scorer, performer and lyricist.
