The Group expanded its global network and operations, repaid debt, and declared a dividend to its owner ICD, Investment Corporation of Dubai.

Jun 15, 2021 · Emirates Group, the parent company of Emirates Airline and dnata, reported a loss of AED 22.1 billion (US$ 6.0 billion) for the financial year ended 31 March 2021, its first non-profitable year in over three decades. The loss was mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic related flight and travel restrictions, which reduced the Group's revenue by 66% and its workforce by 31%.
