    The History of the Shrine

    Rathinagiri Bāla Murugan Templewas built around the 14th century.Over the passage of time an ordinary sand structure was converted into astone shrine.

  6. Soulful Rathnagiri Murugan Temple. Jun 2023 • Family. On our road trip from Chennai to Bengaluru we visited Arulmigu Murugan Temple in Rathnagiri. This temple was built in the 14th century by Saint Arunagiri Nathar and was a small structure for years. Temple was renovated in the year 1980 by Sree Bala Muruganadimai Swamy.
