Edward Irving Ludwig (October 7, 1899 – August 20, 1982) was a Russian-born American film director and writer. He directed nearly 100 films between 1921 and 1963 (some under the names Edward I. Luddy and Charles Fuhr).
Edward Ludwig. Director: Caribbean. Russian-born Edward Ludwig came to the U.S. as a child and was educated in Canada and New York City. He entered the film business as an actor in silents, then became a scenarist and screenwriter, and in the early 1930s turned to directing.

Edward Irving Ludwig (7 October 1899 – 20 August 1982) was a Russian-born American film director and writer. He directed nearly 100 films between 1921 and 1963. Ludwig was also one of the directors of John Payne's NBC western television series The Restless Gun (1957-1959).
