Biography. Producer and film industry executive Roger Birnbaum split his career between high-level positions at major studios like 20th Century Fox and MGM and running his own production companies, including Caravan Pictures, Spyglass Entertainment, and Roger Birnbaum Productions.
Birnbaum was the co-CEO and co-Chairman of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, before stepping down in 2012. He has also been the president of the Guber/Peters Company, the president of worldwide production for United Artists, and the executive vice president of Twentieth Century Fox.
