Marina de Van (French: [də van]; born 8 February 1971) is a French film director, screenwriter and actress. Her film, Don't Look Back, was screened out of competition at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival. Her brother is Adrien de Van , he appeared with her in the 1998 film Sitcom playing her brother.
Marina de Van is a versatile filmmaker who has written, directed and acted in several movies, including In My Skin, 8 Women and Dark Touch. She was born in France in 1971 and studied philosophy and cinema at the Sorbonne and FEMIS.

Marina de Van. Writer: In My Skin. Marina de Van was born in France in 1971, her father being a musicologist. She studied at the Lycée Henri IV and at the Sorbonne University where she earned a degree in philosophy. Then, in 1993 she became a student at the FEMIS, the French school for cinematic studies, where she graduated in 1996.
