Rebecca Swift (10 January 1964 – 18 April 2017) was a British poet and essayist. She was co-founder in 1996 of The Literary Consultancy. Biography. Rebecca Margaret Swift was born in Highbury, north London, the daughter of Clive Swift and Margaret Drabble. Her brothers are Adam Swift and Joe Swift.

Apr 21, 2017 · The Literary Consultancy has announced the death of its Founder and Director Rebecca Swift, who passed away peacefully on April 18th following a short illness. Rebecca co-founded The Literary Consultancy (TLC), the UK’s first editorial consultancy for writers, in 1996 with Hannah Griffiths after they worked together at Virago Press.
The Literary Consultancy was established in 1996 by its founding Director Rebecca Swift (1964–2017), [5] together with Hannah Griffiths (who went on to become Publisher at Faber & Faber ).
The Rebecca Swift Foundation was set up as a UK registered charity in 2018 in memory of Rebecca Swift, the pioneering founder of The Literary Consultancy. This unique award seeks to honour Rebecca’s two key passions: poetry and the empowerment of women.
