WAW is MAMAMOO's eleventh extended play, which was released on June 2, 2021. It is an installment of the WAW project. "Where Are We Now" is the album's title track, and the song was released alongside the album.
After being together for 7 years, we reminisce about the many things we've encountered in the seasons that have passed, and ask questions to "us". "Where am I standing now, how much more do I have left to go?" They're just abstract questions with no answers, but one thing is certain: you've been with us on our journey.
is MAMAMOO's first full ballad-themed album, and is considered to be the prelude and first chapter of the WAW project, succeeded by a concert and a documentary. The album's first teaser is a reference to "Destiny", and second teaser's title is the name of Whee In and Hwa Sa's matching friendship tattoos.
