CAROL HEYER’S career has taken her from screenwriter and production designer, to the pages of well-known children’s books, from vividly realistic and vibrantly colored ‘high fantasy’ fairy tales, sword and sorcery, to the mystery and religious genres.
My father, William J. Heyer, and my mother Merlyn M. Heyer were great influences in my life. I owe the success of my freelance career to the support my parents gave me. This support in turn allowed me to take “the road less traveled, which has made all the difference”, and, the most wonderful thing of all, the opportunity to write and paint the things I love.
