René Goscinny (French: [ʁəne ɡɔsini], Polish: [ɡɔɕˈt͡ɕinnɨ] ⓘ; 14 August 1926 – 5 November 1977) was a French comic editor and writer, who created the Astérix comic book series with illustrator Albert Uderzo.
René Goscinny (born Aug. 4, 1926, Paris—died Nov. 5, 1977, Paris) was a French writer who is best known for the comic strip “Astérix”, which he created with illustrator Albert Uderzo. Goscinny was reared and educated in Buenos Aires and later worked on children’s books in New York City.
