Vuk Kulenovic (21 July 1946 – 10 April 2017) was a Bosnian composer and teacher based in Boston, Massachusetts. He taught counterpoint, orchestration and directed study at Berklee College of Music. He composed and had commissions from around the world.

Vuk Kulenovic was born on 21 July 1946 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Yugoslavia. He was a composer, known for Strangler vs. Strangler (1984), In the Name of the People (1987) and Dorotej (1981). He died on 10 April 2017 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Apr 12, 2017 · Kompozitor Vuk Kulenović, posle duge i teške bolesti, preminuo je juče u 71. godini. Sin književnika Skendera Kulenovića, studirao je kompoziciju u Ljubljani, a potom i Beogradu i Štutgartu. Nešto više od 10 godina predavao je na Fakultetu muzičke umetnosti u Beogradu.
Oct 23, 2017 · Kulenovic defied the authoritarian government of the former Yugoslavia by holding a protest concert, and a powerful right-wing newspaper subsequently demanded his execution. He fled his home country and found a new home in the United States and at Berklee College of Music.
The works of Mr. Kulenovic have been performed winning critical acclaim in Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia, among others. His oeuvre includes seven symphonies, sixteen instrumental concerti, an Oratorio, a ballet, twelve film scores, over 30 pieces for chamber orchestra and numerous chamber and solo pieces.
