K M Chaitanya is an Indian director, who first worked as an associate director under his mentor Girish Karnad in the film Kaanooru Heggadathi (1999). Chaitanya primarily works in the Kannada film industry and made his debut as a director with the film Aa Dinagalu (2007), which won him a South Filmfare Award for Best Director.
