Jun 30, 2023 · Dr. Keith Walley, a senior clinician-scientist for the Centre for Heart Lung Innovation, attending physician at the St. Paul’s Hospital Intensive Care Unit, and Professor of Medicine at the University of British Columbia, has been appointed as a Member to the Order of Canada.
Walley’s impressive career has centered on examining the pathophysiology of cardiovascular dysfunction in critical illness, and oxygen transport in peripheral tissues. After graduating with a BSc Honors in Physics from the University of Manitoba in 1978, he continued on to receive his MD in 1981.
