- S. Raamanathan (1929 – 9 January 2013) was an Indian film director and producer. He began as an Assistant Director in Indian cinema from 1951 until 1958, then he worked as a Director in Indian cinema. In the 1970s he worked in the Hindi industry with Amitabh Bachchan on several occasions such as in Bombay to Goa (1972) and Mahaan (1983).

S. Ramanathan was a veteran film maker of south Indian movies and Bollywood. For Bollywood fans he is best known as the director of movie – Bombay to Goa which happened to the first movie of Amitabh Bachchan as a solo hero after playing second fiddle in numerous movies and the movie was a box office hit as well.
