David Winters was an English-born American actor, dancer, choreographer, producer, distributor, director and screenwriter. At a young age, he acted in film and television projects such as Lux Video Theatre, Naked City; Mister Peepers, Rock, Rock, Rock, and Roogie's Bump.
David Winters, who appeared in the Broadway and film versions of West Side Story and choreographed for Elvis, Alice Cooper and the Monkees, died in 2019. He was the first tap dancer to be recorded and the first dance choreographer to be nominated for an Emmy.
