Peter Oxley was the bass player for 1980s Australian pop-rock band The Sunnyboys. He is credited with writing two songs with The Sunnyboys: "The Stooge" (from the 1984 album Get Some Fun) and "You Don't Need Me" (from the 1983 album Individuals). He also co-wrote "Let You Go", from the group's 1981 self-titled debut album with his brother Jeremy.
Peter Oxley is a UK-based producer who started his career in movie making after working in shipping and security. He has worked with Jonathan Sothcott and other independent film companies on various projects, such as Nemesis and Shogun Films.
Peter Oxley, Bil Bilson and Richard Burgman met in Sydney in 1979 and formed a band with Penny Ward, Shy Imposters, which broke up in early 1980. (Phantom Records released a posthumous single "At the Barrier" (PH-6) in 1981). Joined by Jeremy Oxley, they formed a new band, Sunnyboys.
Peter Oxley is a producer of several UK independent movies, such as Nemesis, An English Haunting, and The Krays: Dead Man Walking. He was born in East London in 1957 and worked in shipping, video, and government security before becoming involved in movie making.
