Cohen is an activist for LGBTQ+ and human rights issues. He served as president of board for the American Foundation for Equal Rights, the group behind the Supreme Court case that declared California’s Proposition 8 unconstitutional. Cohen produces Family Equality’s Night at the Pier and the Democratic National Committee’s LGBTQ Gala.
