Jagannath Barooah University (popularly known as J.B. University and formerly J.B. College) is a university located in Jorhat, Assam, India. It was founded on 19 August 1930. The College is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC).
Jagannath Barooah College is a prominent college of Jorhat in Assam which provides basically UG courses and few PG programs too as it is an Autonomous College registered under Dibrugarh University and a prominent institution running from the time of 1930s.
Jagannath Barooah College popularly knowns as JB College is in Jorhat Assam and its foundation dates back to 1930. The most celebrated college called Jorhat College during the earlier formation but later, changed to Jagannath Barooah College who was the first graduate of the Upper Assam region.
