Welcome to Silverdale School & Teaching Hub. Silverdale is a comprehensive school and sixth form in the south-west of Sheffield. We are a friendly, inclusive community with a track record of strong results at all stages.
Our mission is to actively prepare each child to take responsibility for their own life-long learning, values and behaviour, in partnership with the home and community. Silverdale School has a current roll of 773 (as at March 2023). We are a contributing primary school and our 150th year anniversary was in 2021.

At Silverdale we are proud to still offer a broad and balanced curriculum that goes beyond the EBacc suite of subjects. We value the arts and humanities just as much as science and languages. Silverdale School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It is the founding school of Chorus Education Trust. It opened in 1957 as a secondary modern school, and became a comprehensive school in 1969.
Silverdale is the founding school of Chorus Education Trust, which also includes Westfield School and Hope Valley College. We believe there is strength in us working together, whilst recognising and valuing the unique character of each school. A track record of outstanding results.
