EVRAZ KGOK is the Group’s core mining asset. It is located in Urals, 140 kilometres from the primary consumer of its products, EVRAZ NTMK. EVRAZ KGOK mines titanomagnetite iron ore, which contains vanadium, meaning that it can be used to produce high-strength grades of alloy steel.

In 2021, EVRAZ recognised a US$30 million impairment loss mainly in relation to certain of certain functionally obsolete items of property, plant and equipment. Foreign exchange gains amounted to US$34 million.
