History. Blade: The Series is an American live-action television series made for Spike, which takes place after the events of the film Blade: Trinity, and follows the vampire-hunter Blade in Detroit. The series lasted thirteen episodes, before it was canceled by Spike. Kirk "Sticky Fingaz" Jones replaced Wesley Snipes for the title role as Blade.
