Aug 8, 2021 · I know I’m late, but I’d suggest immersing yourself and putting expectations aside. It’s psychological horror. And it’s in a desolate setting. In 2021, we’ve seen that done over and over again in movies. The thing is, The Shining (one could argue) started that trend and did it with excellent filmmaking.
Sep 19, 2021 · Not for free, but you can visit your local Blockbuster. Last time I went to one they had it in. Watch THE SHINING online free. It is finally available for streaming. Enjoy it! there will be pop up ads in the beginning though. edit: have fun.

This movie is the right step in the evolution and development of the horror genre in Bollywood. Shaitaan was gripping, visceral and unsettling with great eerie "Midsommar-esque" background music and terrific performances for a horror movie. The true stars of the movie are Madhavan and Janki who literally carry the movie.
Very similar music and visual. The start reminds me of the Dirty Harry movies. Two prominent contributors The Shining has in common with Blade Runner…Greg MacGillivray and Joe Turkel. Quite a bit of intrusion from the lens hood there in some shots. Good to see the full frame of the old rotor blades above the Overlook.

Sep 17, 2014 · It's a psychological horror, so it's heavy on the creepy aspect and very light on the gore and gratuitous violence. It's more about the uneasiness the film establishes through the story and cinematography. It's revered because of it's artistic value, I don't actually know many fans who are genuinely scared by it. 33.
