With an objective of producing and nurturing the Computer Science professional’s, future technological entrepreneurs and early researchers, department started its journey with undergraduate course in Computer Engineering in year 1999 with an intake of 60 seats which now has been increased to 180.

About. Library. SFIT Library started functioning from 5th September, 1999. It is also known as the Learning and Information Resource Centre (LIRC). It is a partially automated library which operates using Koha Version 23.05.05. It is located on the second floor B Wing of the building with an area of 716.24 sq.m.

The College is approved by AICTE and affiliated to the University of Mumbai, ISO 9001:2015 certified and currently offers nine programs (5 UG, 2 PG & 2 PhD). At present, there are about 2057 students in SFIT studying BE, ME and PhD courses.
