Seeing the Ghostbusters stand side by side was a pretty awesome sequence, and while the inclusion of Egon’s ghost was insanely cool, it’s a harsh reminder that we will never ever get a scene like that with all four of them because of Ramis’ passing in 2014. I really enjoyed the tribute to him at the end.

Maybe in another lifetime in an alternate universe Murray and Ramis don't have their fight and Ghostbusters the game gets tweaked a bit and is the first if many sequels that then lead to afterlife. Like I said though, another lifetime in an alternate universe

A funny group of 4 friends. They didn't succeed but they made a genuine attempt. The group in afterlife does not have the necessary rapport of 4 good friends who are a bit sick of each other. I cannot see a good setup in afterlife for consistent comedy, and I haven't seen the movie in a while but I don't remember it being particularly funny.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife received an A- CinemaScore PostTrak parents gave the movie five stars, while kids under 12 gave it 4 1/2 stars. Number 1 in cinemas so far this weekend.
Nov 21, 2021 · Ghostbusters: Afterlife a hate filled rant/review! •I hate the slow pace in the first act, what I hate even more is that by the end of the film that slow pace makes sense. I hate that it made sense because it lays the foundation of the emotional through line and properly develop characters.
Sep 24, 2023 · I just watched Ghostbusters Afterlife again. The first time I saw it, something about it just didn't sit right with me. I loved the movie. I loved the story. I loved how they worked everything in. I just couldn't figure out what it was that I didn't like. But on the second watch, I identified the problem. It's the kids' mom.
Nov 22, 2021 · I mean, Afterlife still sounds like the best Ghostbusters sequel we have. The film Jay and Mike wanted was never going to happen, and if it did it still wouldn't be satisfying. You can't recapture the dry 80's cynicism of Ghostbusters, especially without Harold Ramis's writing. Sounds like Rich is the only one who gets that out of the three.
