Double click on the DEB file to open and install with the Ubuntu Software Center, or from the command line with: sudo dpkg -i whatsapp-webapp_1.0_all.deb. Select WhatsApp from your Dash or Applications menu to start.
Apr 22, 2021 · "WhatsApp messages on computer without a mobile phone" , install anbox if you r on linux , you can also go for androidx86 install in virtualbox if you want the full experience and you can even install a full os like remix os on either virtualbox, or in dual boot(i recommend you anbox,cause you just need to use whatsapp, you can find many manuals on web on how to install it )

Jan 28, 2019 · Use Chrome browser to go to https://web.whatsapp.com and follow the instructions to connect your phone. Go to Chrome settings ⇒ More tools ⇒ Create shortcut. Check "Open as window" and press "Create". This will create a desktop launcher to Whatsapp web that opens in its own window. Allow desktop notifications (if needed).

Nov 13, 2020 · @matanster To be honest, I actually think 10 times before using anything outside official repositories, that's why I said "you can install an unofficial WhatsApp client at your own risk". My country has blocked most of the messengers and WhatsApp is the best thing we have so I use it quite often and it bothers me that I have to open it up in the browser every time but still, I never used any 3rd party app for it.
Jun 20, 2019 · The problem seems to be with the User agent Chromium for Linux is using right now. It is using Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) snap Chromium/71.0.3578.80 Chrome/71.0.3578.80 Safari/537.36 which WhatsApp web is recognizing as an older User Agent which Chrome used before version 36.

Dec 31, 2021 · There is still no way to install a native Linux application for whatsapp, so I always use whatsapp's webapp with my daily browser (chromium based brave-browser). Everything works [mostly] fine, except when I need to click on a whatsapp link in a web site, that is supposed to open a conversation with a certain new cell phone number.
