Jan 30, 2024 · To facilitate the general public and registration functionaries, the ORGI has developed a central CRS portal for online registration of births and deaths. Through this portal, along with registration of births and deaths, vital statistics on the basis of registered events would also be generated.
Civil Registration System (CRS), popularly known as birth and death registration system, is the recording of vital events i.e. Birth, Death & Still Birth under the statutory provisions on continuous and permanent basis. CRS falls under the Concurrent list of the Constitution of India at Sl. No. 30.
