He is one of the few Hindi authors to be translated into other languages, and his works have been translated into Urdu, English, German, and Japanese.
Uday Prakash is the author of poems, short stories, non-fiction, films, and documentaries. In 2010 he received the prestigious Sahitya Akademi literary award in India.
