I then cloned the git repo and ran the script directly from within that cloned directory, and it works as expected. They are now wanting to get into phishing and security training for them as well. I have used Kali in the past, just not in this capacity. So, I started reading about SET and its capabilities. I feel as though I have most of the basics down, but there seems to be an issue with the credential harvester within SET.

Mar 28, 2020 · Posting Permissions. I am using the freshest version of Kali. I have been learning the use of the some of the social engineering toolkit (also freshly updated). When the credential harvester finishes it generates a report in /root/.set/reports folder. The standard user profile for Kali (since January) doesn't have permission to access that folder.
Mar 26, 2020 · This is probably something really simple that I am overlooking. I am learning on Social engineering toolkit. I am running the credential harvester. When it produces a report is goes to the /root directory. Permission is denied when I try to open it. In the gui I can not access it to view or move the files.
Dec 22, 2013 · 2013-Mar. Posts. 34. Nine months later and I still have this issue. Kali just loses network connectivity after a while, like if I leave it running some scans overnight. A workaround can be to disconnect the network adapter from VirtualBox and then reconnect. This way you don't completely lose your nmap scan progress.

Press the cogwheel next to "Redirect HTTP" and enter the IP of your device running beef-xss, then enable it. Finally press "on" in the top right corner to enable MITM.
