I've read some rules that we should use "the" in adverbial modifiers of place, but I'm not pretty sure about that. Answer - in both cases the person knows which station or airport they are going to, so it's"the". As Edinburgher said.

If you are asking for directions, you are not asking for a personal description of the your trip, you are really asking for directions in general.
