Jun 26, 2008 · BFI to release Salò on Blu-ray and DVD with stunning special features 3 July 2008 – The BFI announces that its first Blu-ray title Salò or The 120 Days of Sodom will be released on 22 September. The film will also be re-issued on DVD. Both formats will contain a wealth of stunning extras.

Jan 15, 2018 · Pasolini’s Salò, or 120 Days of Sodom (1975) remains one of the most controversial films ever released. As with The Trilogy of Life, a High Definition master new to the UK will be utilised for this reissue that will feature new as well as existing extras.
Nov 2, 2005 · (EDIT: Actually that reminds me of a sequence from the wonderful film La Lectrice, in which Miou-Miou reads a novel to her boyfriend in bed in which she is a professional reader. The story ends with (beware of major spoilers) a nice sequence in which she visits an old judge who asks her to read The 120 Days of Sodom to him.
Sep 2, 2008 · The best review of this film I've found so far wrote:"Salo" is, I think, a perfect example of the kind of material that, theoretically, anyway, can be acceptable on paper but becomes so repugnant when visualized on the screen that it further dehumanizes the human spirit, which is supposed to be the artist's concern.
Finally, there are interviews with Salò's production designer Dante Ferretti (12 mins) and director Jean-Pierre Gorin (26 mins), the latter making a strong case for Salò as a major masterpiece. The BFI exclusives start with Open Your Eyes! (21 mins), an assembly of Bachmann's footage presented with subtitles but no other contextual information.
