  4. The big issue with Notre dame is what you do if you're not in the 40% Biglaw+Fed clerkship category. Going to school in a small town in Indiana is not going to give you that many opportunities to do internships during the school year.

  6. Jan 8, 2023 · Additionally, this past semester, the law school hosted its first ever diversity reception where 30+ Biglaw firms came to talk to us. Socially, it hasn’t made a big difference to me and our law school affinity groups are pretty active when it comes to mentorship and putting on events. We also have an SBA committee dedicated to DEI.

But, it's still about 50-50, that's just how liberal most law schools are. This fact alone draws the attention of more conservative students interested in attending.

Aug 10, 2022 · Notre Dame would be a good choice for multiple reasons: ND is the higher ranked law school; the school’s overall brand is stronger; the cost at ND would be less; and ND is a good enough school to keep you in the running for a clerkship, which could be attractive to big law firm folks in New York if you do not get hired by one while you are in school.

  10. Mar 7, 2018 · I have upwards of $150k in undergrad debt (a lot, I know), and absolutely need nearly full-tuition in scholarships to make law school reasonable. As with any other student, I would like to maximize my chances at acquiring a high-paying position. I'd like to work in the Midwest, and thus I applied to Notre Dame, Iowa, UIUC, and Minnesota.
