Dec 22, 2022 · Molnupiravir, even based on the clinical data that got it approved, is nearly a useless drug. Number needed to treat its high even pre vaccine, risk reduction is low, and it's mechanism actually favors mutation of the infecting covid strain. If you're patients are in a pulmonary hypertension clinic they're certainly high risk.
Apr 20, 2022 · Tested Positive - Me. I tested positive on Monday - first time with Covid, I am 53, and high risk with T1 diabetes so was prescribed one of the new antivirals, molnupiravir. I am fully vaxxed and boosted with Moderna but still got it while at Disney. I am just wondering if anyone else here has taken molnupiravir and what your experience was?

May 21, 2022 · In those cases it's good to know the relative efficacy of alternatives. It's unfortunate that the other alternatives weren't included such as Early Treatment Remdesivir and Bebtelovimab vs Molnupiravir. Clinicians need this type of comparative data to understand the efficacy trade offs for oral Molnupiravir vs the infused antiviral alternatives.
