Khashaba Dadasaheb Jadhav, OLY (15 January 1926 – 14 August 1984) was an Indian freestyle wrestler. He is best known for winning a bronze medal at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. He was the first athlete from independent India to win an individual medal in the Olympics. [5]
KD Jadhav was the pioneer of the art of outwitting his opponents. In many ways, Jadhav revolutionized modern Indian wrestling by introducing the notion of agility and steadfastness in young wrestlers. This made it fairly easier for him to adjust to different styles of wrestling.
