Hopkinton is in the southwestern corner of Middlesex County in eastern Massachusetts, 17 miles (27 km) east of Worcester, 26 miles (42 km) west of Boston, and 195 miles (314 km) from New York City. It is bordered by six towns: All but Ashland and Holliston are in neighboring Worcester County.
