Hüttenberg (Slovene: Železni Hrib) is a market town in the district of Sankt Veit an der Glan in the Austrian state of Carinthia. Geography. The municipality includes the Görtschitz valley in the southern foothills of the Seetal Alps. On the north, it borders Styria.
Hüttenberg might well just be a small municipality in the Carinthian Görtschitz Valley, but it is still known to people all over the world.

Hüttenberg ist eine Marktgemeinde mit 1291 Einwohnern im Bezirk Sankt Veit an der Glan in Kärnten, Österreich. Der Ort ist seit der Antike durch seinen Erzberg bekannt, von dem ein großer Teil des sogenannten Norischen Eisens stammte. Die Eisenverhüttung wurde Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts aus wirtschaftlichen Gründen eingestellt.
Hüttenberg borders in the west on the community of Schöffengrund, in the north on the town of Wetzlar (both in the Lahn-Dill-Kreis) and the town of Giessen, in the northeast on the town of Linden, and in the east and south on the community of Langgöns (both in Giessen district).
