Good riddence, the ‘2’ names were silly.

Imagine if the regulator actually considered the listener in their decisions, rather than inflicting extremely poor networked radio on listeners. The music might be good on greatest hits radio, but the content is shockingly lacking.

  8. Sep 12, 2024 · Ken said Joanna will be on his show Monday to launch GHR 60s. From the Heat thread Heat will be London DAB and online only, so GHR 60s can take it's SDL slot. The two 60s Jukebox slots are automated continuous music, (mostly) without even a voice-tracked presenter — hence “jukebox" and “non-stop 60s greatest hits”.

  9. Sep 11, 2024 · How old would you have to be to actually remember the 60s, not may remember much before they were 5, so not sure anyone under 60 can really claim to remember them. I was born in April 1956. The very earliest vague recollection I have is from April 1958. From about 1961 the memories rapidly increase.

  10. Mar 23, 2024 · The issue with Cumbria was that by the time FM flipped, Robbie was basically the only local show left, as CFM had started taking Hits network outside breakfast - the station had kept local daytime longer than most other Hits stations, and a wider playlist, for a long time because, like Pirate, it was a standalone 90s FM licence with no AM 'Magic' /'Greatest Hits' analogue sibling.
