3. 3 Sherman's. Only one Firefly. (Fury) One "original" 75 mm M3. (The "short" barrel) The other one seems to be the 76mm gun without muzzle brake which was not very accurate. Yes, it's a movie so it's not totally historically accurate but this part was more real then you think. The tiger was scary in its time.

Jul 15, 2023 · Fury (2014) was the most surprising film I've seen this year. I watched "Fury" (2014) last night, and I was really surprised at how great it was. It was incredibly suspenseful, well-acted, had interesting direction, and was an overall intense experience. However, my biggest surprise was who directed and wrote it - David Ayer.

Firing HVAP ammunition, Fury could actually have penetrated the frontal armor of the Tiger quite easily at the range the combat took place (< 1000 yards). A couple of other Shermans in Fury's platoon in that scene were also E8's and scored several direct hits on the Tiger ...
Fury is two thirds of a great movie. The first two acts are amazing, doing a really good job of capturing what it is like inside a crew. JunkFace. ADMIN MOD. Fury (2014) was dumb and bad. The 2014 movie Fury with Brad Pitt was dumb. Nothing that happened was believable, the characters were flat cartoon characters, the story was predictable and nothing was historically accurate. Here’s a question: it’s 1945, why are the Germans so incompetent?
Nor does FURY fall short on its action scenes, a particularly well-crafted fight between a German issued Tiger Tank and its American counterparts carrying an otherwise ordinary film. FURY is a well-made war film. But in the end it is just that – your standard World War II movie with an extra dash of commendable acting and technical prowess. 3.5/5
The Breakfast Scene in 'Fury' is Extremely Effective. The point of the scene was to make you feel uncomfortable and not like it. It clearly accomplished its mission with Reddit. I feel like the point of the whole movie was to show you the ugliness of war without any of the patriotism that pervades most of them.

With that in mind, I thought I would poll the r/WarCollege community about the accuracy of two scenes in the movie: The tank assault scene in which a platoon of tanks attacks a German defensive line, found here. Apr 16, 2016 · Fury was completely fictional, so there is no actual crossroad in Germany where this specific tank was disabled. From the googling I did, it has references to the battle of Crailsheim , but bears more resemblance the battle of Reseiniai where one tank held back an advancing force at a crossroad until in ran out of ammunition.
