Carmel Convent School was founded in 1970 for the benefit of the children of Jayanagar and the neighbouring extensions. The school is recognized by the Department of Public Instruction, Karnataka State. The school year begins in June.
Application for Transfer or Conduct Certificate Should be made in writing by the Parent or Guardian either at the end of the term or within the first 5 working days of a term. The terms are from June- September (First Semester) and October-April (Second Semester).

Academics. Admission to Std VIII are purely on merit. Admission forms can be obtained from the School office in the last week of March. An entrance test is held every year in the month of April.
Co-Curricular. Sports. A lot of encouragement is given to sports. Sports day is held annually. Out standing sports girls are honoured on this day. Our volleyball, throw ball, basketball, Table tennis & shuttle badminton teams have been representing our state at the national level.
School Song. Raised on high we lift our Carmel banner, Rally around, pace the ground together, All united lift our flag on high, And pledge true loyalty this day till we die. Carmel be our beacon light, In this wild tempestuous night, Be our radiant guiding star, O'er life's troubled sea.
25th July 2023 The students of Std 10th D presented the assembly programme on the occasion of Senior Citizen’s Day. The programme highlighted the importance of taking care of the elderly and giving them due respect.

The students brought varieties of food items prepared at home.
11 th November 2023 There was a solemn mass held in the School Chapel for all the Christian students on account of Children’s Day. The teachers put up a variety entertainment programme for the students which included song, skit and dance.
