Apr 8, 2017 · The murda in Shmurda comes from the Estonian word "murda" which means break. And the "sh" comes from the shm-reduplication. You may notice that there is only one m in Shmurda, normally those two combined would be Shmmurda. What Bobby Shmurda was implying with his name is that there was a "break" in reduplication, meaning no repeats.

What’s the deal with Bobby Shmurda? He made that awful song Hot Nigga a couple years back, and now people are demanding he be let out of jail? I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say I’ve missed something. I’m just not sure what. His friend was sentenced to 10 years in prison and he only had a few months iirc.
