Database programmers use SQL join statements to blend data from different tables. In Looker Studio, you can blend data without writing code. Instead, you use the blend editor to configure the join, as shown in the following screenshot: Legend: Tables. Join configuration. Join another table button. Blend name.
Blended data. Data derived by joining fields from different data sources, or multiple instances of the same data source. Blending data lets you plot information from distinct data sets in a single chart, making it easier to see the interrelationships between that data.
Step 2: Inherited dimension filters and compatible metric filters are applied to the data sources that are included in the Blend Data panel. (Blend) Step 3: The data is blended using the specified join configuration. (Post-blend) Step 4: The data is grouped and aggregated based on the dimensions in the chart.
In Admin, under Data display, click Reporting identity. Note: The previous link opens to the last Analytics property you accessed. You can change the property using the property selector. You must be an Editor or above at the account level to set the reporting identity for your property. Select the reporting identity you want to use. Click Save.
Edit blends you've already created. Edit your report. Select a chart based on a blend. Click Edit for that chart's data source. You can also edit blends by clicking the Resource > Manage blended data menu option. Locate the blend in the list and click EDIT.
To reaggregate metrics in Looker Studio, use data blending. Blending lets you work around the fact that previously aggregated fields are set to the AUTO field type. Select Blended. Click Save. To stop seeing modeled data, select another option. The option you choose does not affect data collection or processing.
