Nov 2, 2020 · Today, I turned on the laptop and the 5 beeps are back again. I switched places with the two 4GB RAMs and pressed the RESET button and the beeps are gone. So, the problem might be with the CMOS battery? But why when I replaced places with the RAMs or reseated them, the beeps are gone and then comes again in another turn on the next day?

If you are getting a single beep followed by 2 more beeps, on many Dell's this can indicate the Video Card is not seated properly and may need to be re-seated.
Oct 30, 2008 · Beeps sound like 1 - 2 - 1. long, 2 quick short and a long. Then the boot seems to hang for a minute and then I get 3 more beeps, 3, all seem the same length. I have checked the seating of the ram, and it is fine. I would restore it, but I have read on other posts on the net, that the problem is still there. Any advice would be appreciated.
