However, in practice not every client does so and Alamy cannot guarantee this. It would be nice gesture, if client's across the industry did include them as best practice, anyway.

Dec 30, 2023 · The issue with Alamy is that they sell licences for copyright free images - licences with restrictions which cannot possibly be enforced. Quite so, one expects buyers are aware of it. They're paying for the service of getting a large file- and that's all.
Jan 4, 2021 · Alamy’s model is effectively self-certification that images submitted are up to a certain technical standard with some checks on samples of batches. That standard is simple: images must be sharp with the main subject in focus, a certain minimum pixel size, no chromatic aberration, reasonably well-exposed/developed and so on.

Oct 8, 2018 · Joined Alamy: 27 Jul 2013. Posted October 8, 2018. The minimum size confuses many people. The 17MB minimum is related to your RAW file size just before you turn it in to a jpeg. Jpegs can vary widely in sizes depending on the content of the image. I have submitted jpegs from 3 - 15MB.
