Dhamma Giri is situated in the town of Igatpuri which is about 137 km from Mumbai on the Mumbai -Nasik Central Railway route. From Igatpuri station, taxis and three- wheel taxis (autos) are availabe for Dhamma Giri. It would take about 10-15 minutes to walk from the station.
On the adjacent land to the east of Dhamma Giri, Sayagyi U Ba Khin village is quickly taking shape, where meditators will be able to live in a conducive Dhammic atmosphere. Dhamma Tapovana, to the west of Dhamma Giri, is the first centre built exclusively for long courses.
It is the practical essence of the teachings of the Buddha, who taught Dhamma - the Universal Law of Nature. The Pāḷi Tipiṭaka is presented in many scripts so that the words of the Buddha are easily made available for all.
