Jan 15, 2018 · Rajeswar went on to become the first IPS officer to hold a constitutional post when he was appointed Lieutenant Governor of Arunachal Pradesh in 1983 after his retirement. On Sunday, Rajeswar died at the age of 91 after prolonged illness at his Khel Gaon home in New Delhi.

T.V. RAJESWAR was born on 28 August 1926 in Salem, Tamil Nadu. After completing an MA in Economics from Presidency College, University of Madras, he joined the Indian Police Service in 1949. He was posted to the erstwhile Hyderabad State and, after the reorganization of states, allotted to Andhra Pradesh.
