5 days ago · In the fourth Anglo-Mysore war, Tipu Sultan was killed by the British troops on 4 May,1799 and Mysore was restored to the Wodeyar dynasty. Tipu Sultan’s children and families and soldiers were sent in exile to Vellore city. The people hated the way the British treated the erstwhile ruler’s son.
