Every student in India is required to register for APAAR/ABC ID - a unique 12-digit code to digitally store, manage, and access all their academic credits, including degrees, diplomas, certificates, training details, and co-curricular accomplishments.
The Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) is an initiative set up by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the Ministry of Education (MoE). It is usually an ID card that has a 12-digit unique ID number that stores the student’s academic records as credits.
