Nov 25, 2009 · Two days before the death anniversary of her husband Ashok Kamte,who was killed in the 26/11 attacks,Vinita Kamte has launched a book, To the Last Bullet . The book,co-authored by former journalist Vinita Deshmukh,was launched on Tuesday at the Taj Mahal Hotel,one of the sites of the attacks. The research and writing of the book took four months.
Ashok Kamte has joined Indian Police Services in the year 1989. His father, Marutirao Narayanrao Kamte, worked as Lieutenant-Colonel in Indian Army and his grandfather Narayanrao had worked with the Imperial Police. He also represented India at the junior power-lifting championship in Peru in 1978.
